Are You Going to the OWASP EU Summit?
The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) European Union (EU) Summit 2008 begins next week in Portugal. It's going to be the best place to learn about the numerous OWASP projects - directly from the project leaders.
The EU Summit includes training, working sessions and a conference with business and technical tracks. If you've browsed the OWASP web site, you'll see the range and depth of materials - everything from application development, security frameworks, tools, secure methodologies and security testing. Some projects have generated books that can be purchased or downloaded for free.
The local chapter meetings (London and Scotland in the UK, both of which have meetings planned in early December), are good places to find out about these projects, learn from others and to get involved. But, there are many projects I don't know much about so I'm going to listen and learn as much as I can at the EU Summit.
Hopefully I'll see some of you there.
